Most investors approach investment issues in a methodical way, based on various investment methods. Below are some examples of how to invest. I will consider primarily investment strategies appropriate for investments in listed companies (in their shares).
Investment strategies: MONKEYS STRATEGY
We are building a board - on which listed companies should be located. Then we throw darts and buy companies where we hit the darts.
Investment strategies: ASTROLOGICAL STRATEGY
We make investments in any value in accordance with the laws of nature, e.g. we buy when it is full and sell in new moon.
Investment strategies: STRATEGY DO NOT FIGHT WITH THE MARKET TREND
We choose the stock index as the market barometer and determine the level of market changes that will signal a change in the trend.
index = 10.000 trend - increase,
when the index increases by 10% we sell
when the index drops by 10% we buy
Investment strategies: STRATEGY PURCHASE AT AN AVERAGE PRICE
We invest a fixed amount of money for the same period of time.
every 30th day of each month (e.g. for 6 months) we invest about PLN 100 in shares of e.g. ABC companies
Investment strategies: A FIXED COEFFICIENT STRATEGY
We create a portfolio of shares consisting of two parts:
O - offensive part - its task is to bring capital benefits
D - defensive part - its task is to maintain the value of the portfolio
when the value of "O" increases - we sell the surplus and we can, but we don't have to spend it on "D"
when the value of "O" decreases - I sell "D" or add cash
Investment strategies: FIXED FOOT STRATEGY
I divide the wallet into two parts:
O - offensive part - its task is to bring capital benefits
D - defensive part - its task is to maintain (defend) the value of the "O" part
the essence of the strategy is to maintain a constant relationship between the two parts when the "O" increases - we sell the part, but only so much that after switching to "D" a constant relationship between the two parts is maintained
Investment strategies: PRICE-INDICATOR STRATEGY
We choose a given indicator - P / E, P / BV, etc. - we set for the value to which we are interested in the limit value of the indicator for which we are interested in buying (selling), and when the value exceeds this indicator, we buy (sell) the given value.
P / E = 4 * we buy for shares of the company ABC
P / E = 9 * we sell for shares of the company ABC
Investment strategies: ACCOUNT STRATEGY
We operate against the market:
when prices rise - we sell,
when prices fall - we buy.
Investment strategies: A CONSEQUENTIAL STEP STRATEGY
We buy an asset under the influence of some important information and keep it until we find that the market has already discounted this information and then we sell it.
Investment strategies: SEASON GAME STRATEGY
We invest in the assets of a given company before its good season, we sell after announcing its results for this season. An example would be the summer season for brewing companies, or the Christmas season for food (pastry) companies.
Investment strategies: STRATEGY ANALYSIS OF THE MOVEMENTS OF THE INVESTMENT FUND (e.g. PIONIER, CROWN)
We compare price movements of a unit participation in the fund and WIG. If we observe that for some period of time, the increase in participation units increases similarly to WIG (in percentage), and then the WIG increases faster, it may mean that the holding fund is withdrawing from the shares, considering them too risky, then we should do the same.
Investment strategies: PARTICIPATION STRATEGY FOR PUBLIC EMISSIONS
We buy shares in a public issue, hoping that during the first sessions many investors will buy this asset and the entry price will be a strong level of support for the price.
